Be sure to change your furnace’s filter regularly. Some models are washable, others are simply replaced with a new filter. Consult the heater's manual and call us for a safety check and tune up.
Fireplaces are comforting, however they draw in cold air while heat escapes through the chimney. Glass fireplace doors can help to reduce your heater’s workload.
Keep your air conditioner cool. Outdoor units should be in the shade. Provide shade with an awning, tree or bushes. Be sure to regularly clean out any debris, like twigs and leaves, from the cooling unit.
Test ground faullt circuit interuptor (GFCI) outlets. These receptacles are required where wet conditions exist in your home (bath, kitchen, garage, etc). They keep your family safe from electrical shock.
Don't run extension cords under carpeting or overload outlets, this creates a fire hazard. Have additional outlets or circuits added to meet your expanding electrical needs.
Electrical systems should be inspected regularly by a professional electrician.
